Class Motto: “Encourage Inclusion, Envision Futures, Challenge Structures”.
Upon looking at the class motto, my first thought regarding inclusion was to get voices from people I know. To get inclusive voices I thought to have intentional guided conversations with some questions regarding inclusion on TRU campus and futures at TRU. A question also asked was “Who are you, without saying your name?”, and this allowed inclusivity regarding identity and how the person chose to identify on the poster itself.
Moreover, to envision futures and challenge structures, the quotes themselves will be put up on posters. Some quotes relate to what TRU can do to be more inclusive in the future. The plan is to print these posters and put them up around campus, and the goal is to get people thinking more about inclusivity, futures and challenging structures (specifically university structures).
