One Love

This collage is a tool to inspire kindness for all entities of Tk’emlúps. I wanted this collage to represent several parts of one beautiful place in collaboration and co creation. An acknowledgement and appreciation of the relationship between us humans and the more than humans. All of the parts of this work hold value and space that is necessary to uphold the message. The diversity of the scraps used to create the collage complement each other. The meeting of the Thompson rivers is metaphorical to the unity we can feel inspired by. In this collage, each piece is connected, helping the other to create something. Let this be a reminder that we are all connected. Inclusion and kindness are a right for all entities. In order to envision futures, we must first love those around us and respect autonomy and existence of all inhabitants of this precious land. It is imperative to challenge structures even if you may benefit from them. One love, be kind, encourage inclusion, envision futures, and challenge structures.

“When the last tree is cut, the last fish is caught, and the last river is polluted; when to breathe the air is sickening, you will realize, too late, that wealth is not in bank accounts and that you can’t eat money.” – Alanis Obomsawin.
